Find answers to common questions about MESGLOBS 2026 – The international conference bringing together delegates from around the world

MESGLOBS (M. Emin Saraç Global Summit) is an international conference to be held for the first time in Istanbul at Ibn Haldun University from 26 to 29 March 2026. Committees conducted in English, Arabic, Russian and Turkish will simulate various global and local organisations, and participants will discuss current world issues on behalf of the actors they represent and produce a joint outcome statement. The conference aims to cultivate conscious and globally aware individuals by enabling participants to learn about world politics and develop their critical thinking, empathy, and communication skills.

The MESGLOBS conference is designed to comprehensively address not only significant global events, but also historical and contemporary summits and events that have impacted the Turkish-Islamic world. This approach aims to raise participants’ awareness of both historical and current developments, while moving the functioning of the committees beyond the traditional Western-centric model.

Male delegates should wear a two- or three-piece suit. Female delegates may choose to wear a formal dress or a skirt that is long enough to cover the knees, paired with formal trousers or a skirt and a formal shirt; a blazer jacket is appreciated but not mandatory. Delegates may also wear the traditional attire of the country they represent.

After applying for the Conference and receiving information such as the committee assigned to the participant and the country to be represented, participants should begin the necessary research and preparation by reading their committee’s working guide and familiarising themselves with the agenda items listed in the guide.

Submitting an application does not always mean you will be accepted as a participant. To attend the conference, you must receive an email confirming that your application has been successfully approved by the secretariat. Once approved, participants must pay the mandatory fee according to the application period.
