Agenda Item: The impact of Criminal Organisations on the increase of Organised Crimes.
The United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice is a globally inclusive and influential gathering of policymakers, practitioners, intergovernmental organisations, and civil society working in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. In MESMUN’24 our dear delegates will be expected to address the agenda concerning “The impact of Criminal Organisations on the increase of Organised Crimes”. Rising like shadows in the global landscape, criminal organisations cast a dark impact on not only the economy, but also society. Recent trends show an alarming surge in organised crimes, leaving communities in turmoil. From cyber threats to illicit trafficking, all the crimes have shown a huge increase in recent years. Criminal organisations wield a significant influence on society, operating outside the bounds of the law. These illicit groups engage in various illegal activities such as drug trafficking, money laundering, extortion, and human trafficking. Their intricate networks and sophisticated operations pose challenges to law enforcement agencies worldwide, requiring concerted efforts to combat their detrimental effects on global security and well-being.
