Agenda Item: Strengthening Regional Integration and Cooperation Through Corridors

The Organisation of Turkic States, initially known as the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council), was established in 2009 as an intergovernmental organisation. Its primary objective is to foster comprehensive cooperation among Turkic States. In MESMUN’24 conference, under the name of the MOTS committee, our delegates will talk about “Strengthening Regional Integration and Cooperation Through Corridors” among the member and observer nations of the Organisation of Turkic States. The use of corridors dates back to ancient times, when trade routes were established to transport goods and resources. Corridors providing energy shipment and transportation between countries have been used to facilitate international trade and increase economic cooperation. The OTS acknowledges the significance of regional connectivity and logistical connections among Turkic states, indicating the organisation’s understanding of the role of transportation and energy corridors in promoting trade and cooperation. It is through the effective management of geopolitical and geostrategic structures within the framework of regional cooperation that these corridors pave the way for a more interconnected and prosperous future for all participating states. The objective of our committee, primarily guided by OTS, is to unite and address challenges and issues while strengthening collaboration among participating states.
